Putting together a wedding in of itself is a difficult enough task, but trying to plan a wedding in another state is truly difficult. For my wedding in Hawaii, we hired an Oahu wedding planner.
She was well organized and made sure that nothing was missing or overlooked. Because of this, we didn’t have to worry about the things that most people stress about and that the only thing we had to worry about was just getting on the plane. Thanks to our diligent wedding planner, she made our wedding worry-free.

29.04.2008 Modernity with a Traditional Twist

Weddings in Hawaii are beautiful, but – like all weddings – people have their own ideas, particularly if they’re non-natives. Bringing the ideals of mainstream America into a land that is generally laid back can bring a bit of a culture clash. Tuxedos for a beach wedding? In 95 degree weather? It may seem a bit silly, but it’s happened before.
If you plan on having a modern wedding, it may not be such a bad idea to have a traditional Hawaiian singer and ukulele player perform the music at the ceremony or reception. This is the perfect mixture of the cultures, audibly pleasant and brings a bit of a traditional twist to your perfect day.
